Mold Damage Remediation in Minnetonka Home
Mold damage at this Minnetonka home was the result of a leaking supply line hose to the washing machine. The water damage went further than the laundry room as it affected all of the adjacent rooms. The bedroom, living room and a bathroom were also impacted by the mold damage which resulted from the leaking water. The leaking water wicked through the drywall into these other areas and onto the edges of the carpeting in the living room and the bedroom. Mold can develop rapidly when moisture and darkness are present. We set up containment areas around the areas to be treated and then tore out the mold damaged drywall and disposed of it properly. Portions of the subflooring had become saturated which required us to discard the wet and moldy carpeting to dry the subfloor adequately. All affected areas were cleaned and then treated with an antimicrobial agent to inhibit future mold growth. Once the treatments were completed, we put up new drywall and painted.
